The left-handed side of the second-most successful doubles team in ATP history, Bob Bryan has won 13 major titles, seven in doubles with twin brother Mike Bryan and six in mixed doubles. The Bryans (Bob is the younger twin by two minutes) finished the year as the No. 1-ranked doubles team three straight times from 2005-07. With 54 career titles, they are closing in on the Open era record of 61 set by Australians Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge. The Bryans have won the men’s doubles at the Australian Open three times (2006, 2007, 2009); at the French Open once (2003); at Wimbledon once (2006); and at the U.S. Open twice (2005, 2008). The California-bred brothers are 15-2 in Davis Cup play and clinched the Americans’ victory over Russia in the 2007 Davis Cup final. At Stanford University in 1998, Bob won the NCAA “Triple Crown” with singles, doubles (with Mike) and team titles. The brothers are avid musicians; the Bryan Brothers Band features Bob on bass and keyboard and Mike on drums. (as of October 19, 2009)
